Kent Smith

Kent Smith has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on sales and business development. Kent is currently the Founder & CEO of Eikon Consulting Group, an IT consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas.

Smith began their career in the IT industry in 1988 as the Southwest Sales Manager for Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In this role, they were responsible for managing and developing sales in the southwestern United States.

In 1998, Smith left Aquarium Pharmaceuticals to join Ciber as a Business Development Manager. In this role, they were responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for Ciber.

In 2000, Smith left Ciber to join Ibase Consulting as Managing Director. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Ibase Consulting branch office in Dallas, Texas.

In 2005, Smith left Ibase Consulting to join MDI as a Sales Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing the MDI branch office in Dallas, Texas.

In 2007, Smith left MDI to join Capstone, Inc as Director of Client Services. In this role, they were responsible for managing and developing relationships with Capstone's clients.

In 2009, Smith left Capstone to join Technisource as Practice Director- Technology Consulting & Solutions Division. In this role, they were responsible for leading Technisource's technology consulting practice.

In 2011, Smith left Technisource to start their own company, Eikon Consulting Group. Eikon Consulting Group is an IT consulting firm that provides services to businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Kent Smith went to Skyline High School and then The University of Texas at Arlington.
