Eddy Kuwana

Eddy Kuwana has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Eddy is currently working as a Staff Informatics Engineer at Eikon Therapeutics since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at PACT Pharma from 2021 to 2022 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Owl Cyber Defense in 2020.

In 2018, Eddy joined Hitachi Vantara as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they focused on designing and developing back-end services and APIs for Industrial IoT applications and solutions. Eddy primarily used Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Golang, and Python for these projects.

From 2007 to 2018, Eddy worked as a Sr. Software Developer at OSIsoft, where they were involved in building Asset and Indexed/Time-series databases for Cloud/SaaS offerings. Eddy was a core member of a team that developed persistent and highly available Asset Database Azure Service Fabric microservices. Eddy also worked on PI Data Access Development, specifically the PI Asset Framework SDK, connecting PI System to SQL Server and PI Historian databases.

Before joining OSIsoft, Eddy was a Postdoc Research Associate at UTMB from 2005 to 2007. During their time there, they focused on instrument development for Confocal and Multi-photon Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy systems. Eddy also worked on various research projects and collaborations in the fields of Inflammatory, Ophthalmology, and Neuroscience imaging.

Eddy Kuwana has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Eddy pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. Eddy then continued their academic journey and earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
