Sebastià A. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Sebastià ⚡ currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer Machine Learning at Eikon Therapeutics, where they have been employed since January 2021. Prior to this, Sebastià worked as a Research Scientist at OpenMined from March 2020 to January 2021.

From July 2019 to August 2020, Sebastià worked at Alpha, first as the Privacy Preserving Machine Learning Lead & Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer, and then as an Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer from November 2018 to March 2020.

Before Alpha, Sebastià worked at Shotl as an Algorithmics and Machine Learning Expert from July 2016 to November 2018. In this role, they were responsible for building artificial intelligence algorithms to solve the vehicle routing problem and creating machine learning procedures to improve operations performance.

Prior to Shotl, Sebastià was a Data Scientist at Accenture, specifically in the Accenture Digital branch. Sebastià ⚡ worked there from July 2015 to July 2016, focusing on forecasting demand for a worldwide cosmetics industry and designing a MySQL database for data ingestion.

Sebastià also has academic research experience, having worked as a Fellow at Data Science Europe from January 2015 to March 2015. There, they developed a first-order Markov Chain model to study user behavior on a website.

Additionally, Sebastià has held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) from November 2014 to December 2014, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from November 2013 to October 2014. In their role at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, they focused on predicting the packing factor among magnetic nanowires without appreciable interaction among them.

Sebastià's earliest work experience dates back to 2009 when they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In this role, they assisted second-year physics degree students in the electromagnetism laboratory and collaborated in experimental demonstrations of superconducting levitation for high school students.

Sebastià A. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2009. Sebastià ⚡ then pursued a Master's degree in Science and Technology of Materials at the same university for the academic year 2009-2010. Subsequently, Sebastià joined Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics between 2010 and 2013. In 2017, they took a specialized course in Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree from Udacity.
