Elín Hanna Pétursdóttir

Elín Hanna Pétursdóttir has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Elín Hanna has been with Eimskip since 2013, initially serving as a State Authorized Public Accountant until November 2019. From November 2019 to April 2022, they held the position of Senior Manager Group Financial Reporting. In March 2022, they transitioned to become the Director Group Finance. In addition to their work at Eimskip, they are also a member of the Reikningsskilaráð from 2017 to 2024 and a member of the Endurskoðunarnefnd with FLE-Félag lögiltra endurskoðenda from 2013 to 2017. Before joining Eimskip, they worked at KPMG, both in Norway and in Iceland, serving as a Senior Associate from 2006 to 2011 and as a Senior Manager from 2011 to 2013. During their time at KPMG, they performed audits, prepared financial statements and tax returns, and provided training for clients and colleagues. Elín Hanna also has experience as a part-time lecturer at Reykjavik University from 2011 to 2016, teaching courses in business administration.

Elín Hanna Pétursdóttir's education history begins with their enrollment at Háskóli Íslands in 1998, where they completed their studies until 2002 at Verzlunarskóli Íslands. In 2003, they returned to Háskóli Íslands to pursue a Cand.oecon degree in Accounting and Auditing, which they completed in 2007. Elín then furthered their education at Háskóli Íslands from 2006 to 2008, earning a M.Acc degree in Accounting and Auditing.

Additionally, Elín Hanna Pétursdóttir obtained a certification as a "Löggildingarpróf í endurskoðun" or a State Authortized Public Accountant from Atvinnuvega- og nýsköpunarráðuneytið in January 2011.
