James Seymour

James Seymour is a Partner at EIP since September 2012, specializing in mobile telecommunications and electronics, with expertise in patent infringement, validity matters, and standards essential portfolio management, as well as involvement in high-profile litigation in multiple jurisdictions. Prior to EIP, James was the Head of Patenting Operations at Nokia for a decade, overseeing global patenting processes, teams, and legal support. James also held roles as Senior IPR Manager at Agilent Technologies and IPR Counsel at Hewlett-Packard. Educational qualifications include a B.Sc First Class Honours in Physics from the University of Bristol, a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London, and a Business of IP degree from the Scandinavian International Management Institute.
