Riad Bournane has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Riad started their career at ADHAP Performances as the Director of Operations from November 2005 to August 2007. Riad then joined Sanofi as a Medical Project Leader in Cardiometabolism from January 2009 to July 2010. Riad subsequently worked at GSK as a Medical Project Leader in Neurosciences and Dermatology from January 2011 to August 2014. Riad then joined AstraZeneca as a Medical Project Manager in Thrombosis, Stroke, and PAD from September 2014 to June 2017. Riad then joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Consultant Disease Area Specialist in Cardiology from July 2017 to March 2018. Currently, they are the Director Medical Affairs Neurology at Eisai EMEA since January 2019. Riad has recently taken on an additional role as the Medical Director of Alzheimer's Disease, EMEA, Russia, and Australia at Eisai EMEA starting from January 2023.
Riad Bournane has an educational background in medicine and management. Riad obtained a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Algiers in 2005. In 2006, they pursued a program in Clinical Drug Trials at the University of Paris City. Following that, in 2007, they attended ESCP Business School, where they completed a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Management. Lastly, in 2005-2006, they received training in psychotherapy and sociotherapy at the IUT de Paris - Rives de Seine.
