Joseph Scherger

Vice President, Primary Care, Eisenhower Medical Center at Eisenhower Health

Joseph Scherger has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Joseph started their career at First Contact Clinical as a Family Medicine Editor in 1998 and continued in this role until 2004. In 2001, they joined the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved as a Member, a role they held until 2011. Joseph then worked at Lumetra as a Consulting Medical Director, focusing on Quality and Informatics from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they also held the same position at Lumetra Healthcare Solutions from 2007 to 2009. From 2003 to 2009, they served as an Officer at SDCMS. Finally, in 2009, Scherger joined Eisenhower Medical Center as the Vice President of Primary Care, a position they continue to hold.

Joseph Scherger attended the University of Dayton from 1968 to 1971, where they pursued premedical studies and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. From 1971 to 1975, they attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
