David Ainsworth

David Ainsworth is a seasoned professional in data engineering and software development, currently serving as the Head of Data Engineering at Eisler Capital since June 2023. Previously, David held the position of Software Engineering Manager at G-Research from November 2016 to May 2023, where oversight was provided for data engineers building distributed data platforms, alongside technical leadership for low latency C++ development teams. Before this, David worked as a private tutor from September 2012 to November 2016, specializing in Mathematics and Physics, and gained extensive experience during a PhD at Imperial College London that focused on ultra-fast genetic analysis and algorithm design, resulting in significant performance improvements in existing software. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Bioinformatics and an MSc in Physics, both from Imperial College London, complemented by foundational education at Merchant Taylors' School Crosby.
