Ruth Mayes has extensive experience in business strategy and development within the life sciences industry. Currently, as the Director of Global Business Strategy at Computomics (January 2018 - January 2024), Ruth leads global commercial initiatives and product lifecycle management. Prior roles include Business Development Manager EMEA at SeraCare Life Sciences, where Ruth launched precision medicine reference materials in Europe, and District Sales Manager at Illumina, overseeing reproductive genetic healthcare products across EMEA. Ruth also served as Sales & Marketing Director at BGI Healthcare Europe, focusing on NGS implementation in clinical settings. Additional experience includes managerial roles at QIAGEN, Quintiles as a medical sales representative, and earlier positions in pharmacy and as a professional jockey. Ruth holds a degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology from the College of West Anglia.
