Matthew Unruh is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in the spirits business unit. Currently serving as a Sr. Manager at GALLO since July 2013, Matthew has held roles that include Sr. Manager of Operations Finance and Finance Manager, focusing on regional sales finance for the Western Region. Previous experience includes analyzing pricing strategies and facilitating price planning as a Senior Strategy Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst. Earlier roles involved leading forecasts and managing the incentive programs for the domestic sales force. Matthew gained foundational experience through internships at The Wine Group and began a career as an Electrical Technician at Nutek. Matthew holds a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Marketing from Fresno Pacific University.

Ernest and Julio Gallo started E&J Gallo Winery in 1933. Julio, who died in 1993, was in charge of making the wine, and Ernest, who died in 2007, was responsible for selling the wine. Gallo wines include Turning Leaf, Twin Valley, Single Vineyard, Red Bicyclette and Ecco Domani. Joseph Gallo, Ernest's son, is chief executive, while a number of other family members work for the company.
