Hannes Wettig

Hannes Wettig has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Hannes began their career in 1999 as a Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Helsinki, where they worked until 2013. During this time, they also held a role as a Researcher at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology from 2002 to 2009, focusing on projects related to Data Analysis, Prediction, Information Theory, and Optimization.

In 2000, Hannes co-founded Ekahau, Inc., where they served until 2017. Hannes then joined Quintiq as an IT Consultant from 2013 to 2017, working on various projects.

Hannes joined Finnair in 2017 as a Software Developer and worked until 2018. Currently, they are employed at Roima Intelligence as a Senior Consultant, a position they have held since July 2018.

Hannes Wettig holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki, which they earned between 1999 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics at the University of Cologne, from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Hannes obtained a certification as a Car Mechanic or Ajoneuvoasentaja from the Autokorjaamoalan Tutkintotoimikunta in November 2011.
