Lindsey Biggs

Chief Business Officer at EKC Group

As Executive Director of Employer Engagement, Lindsey is responsible for creating and nurturing strong relationships with the Group’s business partners. Through her work, she provides a plenitude of learning opportunities for students, as well as apprenticeships and post-College destinations. Lindsey’s role is key to our vision of being champions of the community, collaborating with businesses to enhance the socio-economic status of Kent.

Lindsey is passionate about training the future generation, having worked in education for her entire career. In her 12 years at North East Surrey College of Technology, she progressed from being a Distance Learning Coordinator to becoming the Director of the College’s externally facing business unit.

Having established a local apprenticeship recruitment service and significantly improving the College’s apprenticeship success rate, Lindsey found her specialist interest. She then moved to Canterbury College and took up the role of Apprenticeship manager, which she held for two years before the College merged with East Kent College. She then became Head of Apprenticeships, Work Based and Partner Provision at the newly formed EKC WorkHigher, rising to Director within a year.

Proving successful in this role, she was then made Managing Director of EKC IntoWork, EKC Group’s employability business unit, with Lindsey being promoted to Executive Director of Employer Engagement for the Group soon after.
