Ashok Saraf

He has vast experience of more than 30 years in the power distribution sector in India. During this period he has worked with various power distribution utility from government owned utilities to privately owned utilities like BSES (Delhi) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited. He was part of the team which successfully transformed a Government owned utility, with high ATC&C losses to the global benchmarking utility named TPDDL within 10 years. During this transformation he has led the various functions from Operation and Maintenance, Technology, Automation and Pro cess Integration, Procurement, Network Designing, Project Management among others Ashok Saraf holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Post Graduate Degree in Operations Management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, a statutory body to promote and advance engineering and technology in India. He is also a certified Energy Auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India and is authorised to audit the electricity consumption efficiency for designated customers. He is also a permanent member of many committees of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) for continuously upgrading the specifications of various electrical equipment and a guest member of IACCM, global contract management Association. He is a certified lead auditor for ISO 9001: 2000 He has successfully accomplished many consultancy assignments ranging from Network Modification to Functional consultancy, ERP implementation automation and AMI, with a number of state-owned power distribution utilities under the Power Sector Reform Programme of Government of India.
