Araya Hailu

Araya Hailu has a diverse and extensive work experience in sales, business development, and strategic accounts management. Starting from 1996, Hailu worked at Sprint, where they served as the Director of Global Market Development. Araya then joined ECI Telecom as the Director of Strategic Sales. Hailu later became the Vice President of Sales, North America at Veraz Networks, where they managed the sales organization and played a significant role in the company's growth. Araya then joined Cataleya Private Limited as the Vice President, Americas, leading the sales and business development efforts. After Cataleya, Hailu worked as the Director of Strategic Accounts at Ribbon Communications, focusing on cloud-based services and network transformation initiatives. Araya then joined Newport Spectrum Technologies as the Vice President of Business Development, responsible for global sales and marketing activities. Hailu also served as a Non-Executive Director and Startup Advisor at the same company. Prior to their current role as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Ekinops, Hailu worked as the Senior Director of Strategic Accounts at Telco Systems, bringing NFV, SDN, uCPE, Edge Computing, and Carrier Ethernet solutions to major communications service providers in North America. Along with their role at Ekinops, Hailu is also a Board Advisor/Board Member for various companies.

Araya Hailu has a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University. They also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from Howard University. Additionally, Araya pursued postgraduate study in Queuing Theory and Telecommunications at The George Washington University.
