Hanne Tytgat

Hanne Tytgat is a highly experienced professional in the field of microbiome-host interactions and glycobiology, currently serving as a Senior Specialist and Microbiome Group Lead at Nestlé since January 2021. Tytgat is also the President of Ekoli vzw, a non-governmental organization dedicated to inspiring youth through science education. Previous roles include Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Wageningen University & Research and Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zürich, focusing on glycoengineering and glycan studies. Tytgat began a career in research with a PhD from the University of Antwerp and joint studies at KU Leuven, contributing to projects involving Salmonella and probiotics. Tytgat holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from KU Leuven.
