David Pedrick is the current Product Manager, Raters & Providers at Ekotrope. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Project Manager at Southface from April 2014 to May 2020. In this role, they led the Planning and Sustainable Communities (PSC) team which provided public planning, community design, and policy analysis services to communities throughout the Southeast.
Under David’s leadership, the PSC team managed EarthCraft Communities, a regional sustainable development certification. David was responsible for program development and project management which involved coordinating all aspects of the certification process for dozens of projects. Additionally, they provided professional consulting and technical expertise in urban design, site planning, and storm water management.
David was also an advocate for walkable urban development practices in the Qualified Allocation Plan of the Low Income Affordable Housing Tax Credit, facilitated design charrettes, and completed code analysis for city governments.
Finally, they served as the quality assurance designee (QAD) for Southface Energy Rated Homes. In this role, they verified that our 60 home energy raters follow standard inspection protocol and energy modeling techniques. David also developed custom software which generated a 50% increase in profit margin.
David Pedrick has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Luther College and certification from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission in Level 1A Certified Personnel - Erosion & Sedimentation Control. David is also certified by RESNET as a HERS Rater and by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) as a LEED Green Associate.
David Pedrick reports to Ziv Rozenblum, Founder & CEO. David Pedrick works with Glenn Baker - Vice President of Business Development, Laurie Mooney - Human Resources, and Cy Kilbourn - Founder & VP of Engineering.
