Founded in 2025, Ekoya is a Cameroonian engineering and consultancy firm operating in West and Central Africa. Ekoya applies engineering expertise to deliver tailored, sustainable solutions rooted in African communities, taking into account the social, environmental and institutional dynamics specific to each context. Ekoya addresses the key challenges facing the development of African cities and regions. Its work is organised around five major themes, essential to the continent’s sustainable development: water, sanitation and hygiene; urban and regional challenges; solid waste management; sustainable and inclusive energy; and the environment and adaptation to climate risks.

Founded on the initiative of a committed African team, Ekoya draws on a strong local presence and in-depth knowledge of the regions. The company is part of the Global Development Group, which specialises in engineering and development consultancy.

As such, Ekoya draws on expertise gained from over 30 years of experience and more than 1,000 projects delivered worldwide, including 800 in Africa across 37 countries. This combination of local roots and international reach enables the company to offer solutions tailored to African realities, whilst benefiting from a wealth of practical experience.
