Laura Ishizaka

Laura Ishizaka is a dedicated library professional with extensive experience in various library roles. Currently serving as a Part-Time Librarian at El Camino College since February 2023, Laura has previously held significant positions including Senior Librarian at the City of Long Beach, where leadership involved managing staff and programs for adaptive technology and community resources. Experience encompasses roles as an Adult Services Librarian at the Palos Verdes Library District, Librarian II and I at the County of Los Angeles Public Library, and Library Assistant in Long Beach, alongside early experience as a Library Intern and Research Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from San José State University, a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associate's degree in English Language and Literature from El Camino College.
