Ron Carruth is the current superintendent at EL DORADO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Ron Carruth began their career in education as a social studies and English teacher at COVINA VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. Ron coached cross country, soccer, and track while at this district. In 1992, they became an assistant principle of instruction/student services at HACIENDA LA PUENTE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. Six years later, they became the assistant superintendent of educational services at WHITTIER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Ron served in this position for twelve years until becoming the superintendent of the district in 2008. Ron held this position for ten years until coming to their current district in 2018.

Ron Carruth received their Doctor of Education from the University of La Verne in Organizational Leadership. Prior to that, they received their Master of Arts in Theirtorical Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and their Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts from Azusa Pacific University. Ron Carruth began their educational career with a high school diploma from El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA.
