Carter Calhoun

Carter Calhoun possesses extensive experience in nonprofit development, community outreach, and business strategy. As the Director of Development at El Nido Family Centers since April 2016, Carter supports youth and families across LA. Previous roles include South L.A. Region Director at Toberman Neighborhood Center, Inc., where Carter secured over $5M in funding and expanded the supporter network threefold. Additionally, Carter served as the Chief Financial Officer and Founding Board Member of COPE Preparedness, contributing to the organization’s growth and formation. Other positions include Director of Business Development for the Los Angeles Gateway Chamber of Commerce, President of PC Nerds, Inc., and roles in eco-tourism and international development. Carter holds a Master's degree in Community Development from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach.
