Marco A. Villegas

Marco A. Villegas, Ph.D., serves as the Superintendent of El Rancho Unified School District since July 2022. Previously, Marco held the position of Associate Superintendent at Pasadena Unified School District from July 2020 to July 2022 and was the Director of the East Region for Learning & Teaching at Ontario Montclair School District from February 2016 to July 2020. Marco has extensive consulting experience in school transformation and leadership, having worked as an Educational Consultant from January 2014 to January 2020. In addition to district roles, Marco has contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Professor at both Azusa Pacific University and California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to administrative roles, Marco served as Principal at various schools, including De Anza Middle School and Corona Elementary School, and earned a Ph.D. in Urban Educational Leadership from Claremont Graduate University between 2002 and 2005.
