El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center
Thelma Gamboa-Maldonado, DrPH, MPH, MCHES, serves as the Director of Health Care Services at El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center since January 2013 and has held multiple roles as an Instructor of Community and Public Health at City College of San Francisco since August 2019. Additionally, Thelma is an Assistant Clinical Professor and former Director of the Promotores/Community Health Worker Academy at Loma Linda University, where Thelma has been involved since January 2009. Previous experience includes serving as Organizational Change Manager at the CDC Foundation, assigned to the California Department of Public Health, and Manager of Internal Communications at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Thelma’s educational background includes a Doctor of Public Health and a Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine.
