El Veenu did not begin as a brand idea.
It began as work to keep handcraft alive.

El Veenu was born in Jaisalmer, a desert town where craftsmanship is not taught, it is lived. You see it in the sandstone architecture, in the way details are shaped by hand, and in objects made to last because replacing them was never easy.

The story began nearly 40 years ago in a small leather shop. Over time, that work grew into exports and retail, built on daily interaction with leather, global customers, and artisans. Years on the shop floor taught us what people return for, what holds up to use, and what quietly becomes part of everyday life.

As fashion became faster and production more machine-led, handmade leather slowly started losing its place. The skills didn’t disappear. The artisans didn’t disappear. They were simply pushed aside.

El Veenu exists to bring that work back into focus.

The same artisans, materials, and methods that shaped our export and retail journey now come together under one name. Our products are made using genuine vegetable-tanned leather, cut and stitched by hand, and finished to age naturally over time. Each piece is produced in small batches by traditional artisans from villages across Rajasthan.

We design with practicality in mind. Our bags are not made to follow seasons or trends, but to be used, worn in, and carried across years.

Rooted in Jaisalmer and shaped by generations of leather craftsmanship, El Veenu is built on experience, not experimentation.
