Adam Batty

Adam Batty is an accomplished legal and governance professional with extensive experience in both private equity and corporate environments. Currently serving as General Counsel & Investment Director at Elaghmore since July 2022, Adam was the first in-house legal, risk, and governance advisor for the firm, supporting both the investment and portfolio management teams. Previous positions include Senior Independent Director at The Eggfree Cake Box, General Counsel & Company Secretary at The Very Group, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at McCarthy & Stone, and various leadership roles at notable companies such as Selfridges Group and Domino's Pizza Group PLC. Adam is also recognized for entrepreneurial efforts as the Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director of Happy Bird Restaurants. An alumnus of the University of Nottingham, Adam holds an LLB (Hons) in Law.
