Mikko Kautto

Mikko Kautto serves as the Managing Director at Eläketurvakeskus – Finnish Centre for Pensions since January 2008, where responsibilities include overseeing research, statistics, and planning. Previously, Mikko was the Head of the Research Department at Mela from January 2014 to December 2019 and served as Vice Chairman on its Board. Mikko's experience also includes a tenure as Research Director at Stakes, focusing on welfare, family policy, alcohol and drug research, and networks research, along with a role as Project Manager at the Prime Minister's Office in Finland, managing a project on the ageing of society. Educational achievements include an MBA from Hanken & SSE Executive Education and a Ph.D. in Sociology, with a specialization in Welfare Research, from the University of Helsinki.
