Michael Kaeser

Michael Kaeser currently serves as Senior Director External API Manufacturing and API Operational Excellence Leader at Elanco since August 2022. Previously, Michael held various positions at Novartis from November 2009 to September 2022, including Operational Excellence Manager in Cell and Gene Therapy, Global Project Team Leader, Facilitator/Associate Director, and Process Manager, where responsibilities included process improvement, project management, and coordination across production sites. Prior experience includes serving in the Swiss Armed Forces in leadership roles, such as Commander of a mountain infantry battalion and general staff officer. Michael's career began at CARBOGEN AMCIS as a Production Chemist, focusing on manufacturing and continuous improvement. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh and multiple leadership courses from the Swiss General Staff School.
