Colin Goodheart-Smithe

Colin Goodheart-Smithe is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in serverless technology and Elasticsearch. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer II and Control Plane Serverless Tech Lead at Elastic since May 2014, Colin has held multiple leadership roles, including Technical Lead for Elasticsearch Datastore and Senior Manager for Elasticsearch. Prior to Elastic, Colin worked at Detica from July 2008 to May 2014 as Technical Team Lead for the CyberReveal product, focusing on APT detection using behavioral analytics on an Apache Hadoop platform, and as a Product Developer for the NetReveal product family, specializing in scalable search analytics using Apache Lucene. Colin holds an MPhys in Physics from the University of Surrey, obtained in 2008.
