Matt Brown

Matt Brown, MIR, CPHR, is an accomplished HR leader with extensive experience in talent strategy and development. Currently serving as VP at Elastic since November 2022, Brown previously held the role of VP, HRBP for Global Field Organization at Splunk from July 2019 to November 2022. As an independent HR consultant in 2018 and Senior Vice-President of People and Culture at Credential from 2009 to 2018, Brown was instrumental in fostering a high-engagement work environment. Earlier career highlights include positions at SAP as VP of Human Resources (Americas) and at Business Objects overseeing global recruitment and talent management. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Queen's University and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta.
