Hari Narayanan has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Hari has held various roles in prestigious companies such as Elastics.cloud, Inc., Ciena, Extreme Networks, Infinera, Brocade, Cisco Systems, McAfee, Inc., Reversi Networks, LynuxWorks, and Toshiba America Electronic Components (TAEC).

Hari'smost recent role is as a Software Architect at Elastics.cloud, Inc., starting in September 2022.

Before that, they worked at Ciena as a Principal Linux Engineer from August 2020 to August 2022.

Prior to Ciena, Hari served as a Principal Engineer at Extreme Networks from July 2019 to August 2020.

From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Infinera as a Principal Software Engineer. During their tenure, they contributed to the development of third and fourth-generation products for the long-haul and metro fiber markets. Hari automated the verification of ASICs and organized site-wide Hackathons.

Hari worked at Brocade as a Staff Engineer from August 2009 to February 2016. In this role, they were involved in designing new platforms, system bring-up, and open-source package selection for Brocade products.

At Cisco Systems, Hari served as a Manager of Software Development from July 2006 to April 2009. Hari managed the Line Card and Fabric group for Cisco's flagship router, the CRS-1, and significantly reduced outstanding defects.

Prior to that, Hari worked at McAfee, Inc. as an Embedded Software Lead from July 2001 to June 2006.

Hari also co-founded Reversi Networks, where they served as a Director of Software from 2000 to 2001. In this role, they built a team from scratch, interacted with VCs and prospective customers, and handled budgeting and project planning.

Hari worked at LynuxWorks as a Manager of Customer Solutions from 1999 to 2000. Hari managed a team of software engineers and played a key role in obtaining ISO 9001 certification. Hari also designed and implemented system-level solutions for voice over DSL and VoIP systems.

Hari'searly career included a role as a Manager of Software Development at Toshiba America Electronic Components (TAEC) from November 1995 to February 1999. Hari led the verification of the PlayStation 1 CPU and automated testing using Linux as a platform.

Throughout their career, Hari Narayanan has demonstrated expertise in roles such as software architecture, Linux engineering, principal engineering, software development management, and embedded software development. Hari has a proven track record of successfully leading teams, contributing to product development, and implementing innovative solutions.

Hari Narayanan holds a Certificate in Telecommunications Engineering - Network Technology and Management (with Distinction) from the University of California, Berkeley. Hari also earned a Masters degree in Computer Science and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Furthermore, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sanskrit and Classical Indian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Karnataka State Open University, covering the period from 2012 to 2016. In terms of additional certifications, Hari Narayanan received the "Competent Leader" certification from Toastmasters International in November 2018, and the "Competent Communicator" certification in June 2018.
