Abigail St. John Kennedy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Abigail is currently working as the European Chief Counsel at Elavon Europe since June 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Chair of the Legal and Regulatory Committee at AILO (Association of International Life Offices) from February 2015 to June 2018. Abigail also held the position of Head of Legal and Company Secretary at SEB Life International, a subsidiary of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, from March 2014 to June 2018.
Before joining SEB Life International, Abigail worked as a Partner at Eversheds Sutherland LLP (Ireland) from June 2008 to February 2014, and at Dillon Eustace LLP from March 2003 to May 2008. Abigail started their career as an Associate Solicitor at Arthur Cox LLP in May 2000, and prior to that, they served as an Articled Clerk at Herbert Smith Freehills from January 1997 to March 2000.

From 2010 to 2011, they attended the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Ireland, where they earned a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction.
In 2002, they became a Qualified Solicitor after attending the Law Society of Ireland.
From 1996 to 2000, they studied at the Financial Services Institute Australasia, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, specializing in Corporate Finance.
Abigail earned their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degrees from The University of Western Australia, where they attended from 1990 to 1996.
At Newman College Perth, from 1983 to 1989, they were honored as the Dux of 1989.
In 1990, Abigail became a resident of St George's College, UWA.
Abigail was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1998.
