Jess de Heer has a broad range of work experience. In 2016, they began working as a Sales Advisor for schuh, where they gained experience in customer service, working tills, teamwork, meeting of targets and working in fast-paced environments. Jess received a 'silver star' award for consistently brilliant customer service. In 2019, they became a Student Advisor for Nottingham Law School Legal Advice Centre, where they conducted face to face and telephone interviews with clients and drafted legal documents. Jess also gained experience as a Legal Intern for Green Law Solicitors, observing solicitor interactions with clients and taking phone calls and interacting with clients herself. In 2020, they began working as an Administrative Assistant for Sanctuary Oasis Limited, filing, archiving and creating client, staff and business operation documents, assisting payroll team with timesheets and invoicing contractors, and managing expenses spreadsheets on Excel. Jess also became a BVCAS Moderator for BIUCAC and a Commercial Law Internship Experience UK for Bright Network. In 2021, they began working as a Customer Service Representative for Metro Bank (UK), where they performed data entry, followed complex processes, used banking/CRM systems and dealt with sensitive information whilst complying with FCA, PRA and GDPR regulations. Jess also identified the best products for customers based on their needs, alongside upselling lending and savings products. Finally, in 2022, Jess began working as an Account Executive for Elder.

Jess de Heer attended Shenley Brook End School from 2016 to 2018 and then went on to Nottingham Law School where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws - LLB in Law from 2018 to 2021. Jess also has two certifications from LexisNexis: Lexis Library Advanced Certification obtained in May 2020, and Lexis Library Online Research Certification (Foundation) obtained in October 2019.
