Industrial Sales Leader at ELDREDGE LUMBER & HARDWARE, INC

Richard Conrad has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Richard began their career as a Regional Sales Representative at Ryobi Power Tools in 1985, where they were responsible for finding and developing new sales avenues through qualified wholesalers in the New England region. In 1990, they started their own company, Conrad & Company, as a multi-line manufacturer's rep serving New England region plumbing wholesalers. During their time there, they focused on developing relationships with plumbing wholesale, engineering, and installer relationships.

In 1995, Richard took on the role of Regional Sales Representative at Walter Morris Co., where they worked closely with plumbing wholesalers in a three-state region to maintain inventory, train sales staff on new product lines, and troubleshoot installations. Additionally, they developed new sales channels through qualified wholesalers.

From 1998 to 2008, Richard became a stay-at-home parent to support their spouse's career growth. During this time, they took on active volunteer leadership roles in various organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and local conservation boards.

In 2008, Richard co-founded Common Good Market, an online business that promoted and sold products from artisans, craftspeople, and micro-manufacturers in New England through their website and regional events. Richard remained the owner until 2017.

Following this, Richard joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. in 2017 as a Sales Associate and Department Manager at their Scarborough, Maine location. In this role, they were responsible for managing the hardware department and also covered other areas such as paint, plumbing, and electrical.

Richard briefly worked as an Inside Sales Representative at N.H. Bragg Industrial Supplies in 2018 before joining Eldredge Lumber in the same year. At Eldredge Lumber, they started as an Assistant Store Manager, overseeing overall retail store operations for a 15,000 sq. ft. store. Richard later transitioned to the role of Industrial Sales Leader, responsible for outside hardware and supplies sales in the Greater Portland area.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated strong sales, business development, and customer relations skills across different industries and roles.

Richard Conrad attended Franklin Pierce University from 1978 to 1980, where they earned a BS degree in Business & Economics.
