Kyriacos Pavlou, PhD has a diverse work experience, beginning in 1994 as a Second Lieutenant and Platoon Leader in the Armored Division of the National Guard of Cyprus. After serving in the military for two years, they pursued their education, working as a PhD Research Associate and Teaching Assistant at The University of Arizona from 2005 to 2012. Kyriacos then joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in 2013. From 2015 to 2020, Kyriacos worked as a Database Lecturer and Researcher at CIIM - Cyprus International Institute of Management. In 2017, they became a Research Associate at the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Consultant and Director of Electi Academy at Electi Consulting, starting in December 2018.
Kyriacos Pavlou, PhD, received their BA (Hons) degree in Medical Sciences and Genetics from the University of Cambridge in 1999. Kyriacos then went on to pursue further education, earning a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Arizona between 2001 and 2005. Kyriacos continued their studies at the University of Arizona and completed their PhD in Computer Science from 2005 to 2012.
