Gary Van Exan is a seasoned IT security professional with extensive experience in managing IT security operations and risk management programs. Currently serving as Manager of IT Security at Elections Canada since May 2016, Gary has previously held managerial and analytical roles in IT security at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Shared Services Canada, and Passport Canada. Early career experiences include positions as IT Systems Administrator and Support Specialist at Courts Administration Service and Network Control Centre and Service Desk Technician at Library and Archives Canada. Gary holds a Computer Systems Technician degree from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and a Business Information Systems degree from Cambrian College.
