Matthew Cicanese

Matthew Cicanese is an accomplished speaker, instructor, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in education and multimedia production. Currently serving as a Speaker and Workshop Instructor at Electives since July 2022, Matthew also leads specialized photography workshops for Canon USA and produces educational content for Canon's Digital Learning Center. As the Founder, CEO, and CCO of Matthew Cicanese LLC since September 2018, Matthew actively engages in professional speaking and workshop instruction while contributing as a National Geographic Explorer. Past roles include multimedia editing for National Geographic and the Ecological Society of America, as well as a research associate position at Duke University. Matthew holds a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental & Documentary Arts from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Florida Southern College.
