Alissa Halacy

Alissa Halacy is a highly skilled technical writer currently employed at Electric Boat since August 2017, where responsibilities include researching and publishing technical descriptions and procedures for submarine systems while collaborating with engineering teams. Prior to this role, Halacy gained valuable experience at the Steamship Historical Society of America from 2010 to 2024, serving in various capacities including Project Coordinator and Membership Coordinator, focusing on membership communications and document editing. Additional experience includes working as an Editor at B.E. Publishing, where educational content was evaluated and revised, and an Administrative Assistant at MRINetwork, managing daily office operations. Halacy’s career began as a Customer Service Coordinator at Christmas Tree Shops. Alissa holds a Master of Science in Publishing from Pace University (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Rhode Island (2011).
