Thom Groot

Thom Groot is the Co-Founder & CEO at Electric Car Scheme. Prior to this, they were the Commercial Director - Sales & Marketing at McCarthy & Stone from July 2019 to August 2021. Before that, they were Managing Director - Europe at XE.com from September 2018 to July 2019.

Thom has extensive experience in leadership and management roles. Thom was the Digital & Data Director at The AA from September 2015 to June 2018. Prior to that, they were a Principal at Oliver Wyman from September 2008 to August 2015.

Thom started their career in the corporate world with internships at Bristows LLP and Procter & Gamble in 2007 and 2006 respectively. Thom then went on to do an internship in R&D at GlaxoSmithKline in 2006.

Thom Groot has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from INSEAD and an MSci in Chemistry from Imperial College London.
