Anthony Akeman has an extensive background in engineering and quality control, with a career spanning from 1994 to the present. At Electric Motor & Contracting Co., Inc, Anthony has held multiple roles since February 2014, including Planner/Estimator, Nuclear Motor Technician/Inspector, Quality Control Inspector Foreman, and Quality Control Inspector. Prior to this, Anthony served in the US Navy for twenty years, specializing as an Aviation Machinist Mate, focusing on F-14 and F/A-18 E/F power plants, and also worked as an Intermediate Depot Mechanic, Maintenance Instructor, and Master Training Specialist. Anthony graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1993.

Established in 1960, Electric Motor and Contracting remains one of the largest independently owned electric motor and pump repair shops in the U.S. with over 200,000 square feet of facility. Our campus holds a large motor repair facility, machine shop, large pump repair facility, a switchgear repair division as well as a Nuclear radiologically contaminated repair facility. We also provide a climate controlled storage facility with 24/7 monitoring and monthly preventative maintenance. At EMC, we hold ourselves to the highest quality standards. Our Chesapeake location has maintained an ISO 9001 certifed program since 1999. We have a NUPIC audited Safety Related 10CFR50 Appendix B program for the nuclear power industry.
