Anthony S. Campbell President and Chief Executive Officer, East Kentucky Power Cooperative
Anthony “Tony” Campbell is President and CEO of East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC), a generation and transmission electric cooperative based in Winchester, Ky.
EKPC provides wholesale electric power to 16 distribution cooperatives that serve 1.2 million Kentucky residents, as well as homes, farms, businesses and industries across 87 counties. EKPC provides energy from power plants fueled by coal, natural gas, landfill methane and solar, delivered over more than 2,800 miles of high-voltage transmission lines. Together, EKPC and its 16 owner-member cooperatives are known as Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.
Before joining EKPC in June 2009, Campbell served as CEO of Citizens Electric Corporation (CEC), a transmission and distribution company located in Southeast Missouri.
Campbell serves on several boards of directors, including Kentucky Electric Cooperatives, Kentucky Community and Technical College System Foundation and ACES.
Campbell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Champaign. A native of Central Illinois, Campbell has been active in the community throughout his career.
