Ben York

Ben York is an accomplished professional in the field of electrical engineering with expertise in integrated grid and energy systems. Currently serving as Applications Manager at EPRI since June 2013, Ben leads a team focused on applying advanced technologies to address member-specific challenges in grid planning, distributed energy resources, and climate analysis. Prior to EPRI, Ben held various roles, including Manager of DER Strategic Projects and Technical Leader, as well as Senior Engineer at Virginia Tech's Future Energy Electronics Center, where significant contributions were made in photovoltaic energy conversion. Ben earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama.
