Kirk Ellison

Kirk Ellison is an experienced professional in the field of environmental science and engineering, currently serving as Area Manager, Program Lead, Senior Technical Leader, and Technical Leader at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) since April 2016. Prior to this role, Kirk worked as a Research Geologist at Southern Company from June 2011 to April 2016. Earlier experience includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, where Kirk focused on research in carbon sequestration and geophysical studies related to soil moisture dynamics. Kirk began a career in academia and industry with an internship at S&ME, Inc. Additionally, Kirk holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering & Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences, both from Clemson University.
