Chris Otton

Chris Otton has extensive experience in the energy and electricity sectors, currently holding multiple managerial and analytical roles at the Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko since August 2017, including Manager Operations Policy and Principal Analyst Market Policy. Prior to this, Chris worked at Contact Energy Ltd as Senior Analyst - Business Performance and Energy Trader from May 2014 to August 2017, and at Transpower from July 2006 to May 2014, where Chris contributed significantly to the HVDC Pole 3 project. Earlier career roles included Medical Physicist at Waikato District Health Board and Analytical Scientist at Arrow Therapeutics. Chris holds a P.G. certificate in Information Engineering from City, University of London and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics from Coventry University.
