Aaron Dormer

Aaron Dormer is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in asset management and operations within the energy sector. Currently serving as an Asset Management Engineer at ESB since April 2022, Aaron focuses on the operation and maintenance of various flexible generation systems. Prior to this role, Aaron worked at SSE plc from April 2018 to April 2022 as an Operations Engineer, where responsibilities included planning and coordinating shift operations, fault diagnosis, and outage coordination. Aaron also held a secondment as a Production Manager at SSE plc. Earlier experience includes positions at EDF Energy, where Aaron operated a 1575 MW reactor as a Shift Operations Engineer and participated in a graduate scheme as a Mechanical Engineer. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, complemented by research and teaching assistant roles.
