Bernal Fernandez has over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry. In 2001, they began their career as a Senior Account Executive at alPunto Advertising Inc., servicing Universal Studios Hollywood, Del Taco, and General Mills' Pillsbury brand. In 2003, they moved to RLR Advertising as a Senior Account Supervisor, servicing Verizon Wireless, L.A. Zoo, and L. In 2007, they joined Lopez Negrete Communications as an Account Supervisor, servicing Walmart Inc. at their headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. In 2010, they moved to Direct Energy as a Marketing Program Manager, leading and managing the marketing strategy for Texas residential markets. From 2014-2021, they worked as an Independent Contractor and Marketing Contractor for various clients, including PCCA and Craft The Message Marketing. In 2022, they began working as a Marketing Manager, Programs at Electriq Power.

Bernal Fernandez received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications from California State University, Fullerton between 1992 and 1996. Bernal then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Sam Houston State University. Lastly, they obtained an Associate of Arts in Communications from Santa Ana College.
