Rockie Hunter has held a variety of roles in the past, beginning with a Front End Service Leader at Hannaford in 2006. In 2008, they became a Resident Assistant at Chester College of New England, followed by an Admissions Counselor in 2011. In 2012, they took on the roles of Graduate Research Assistant and Community Advocate at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2014, they became a Layout Designer at the National Association for Poetry Therapy and a Print Designer at Afterimage: The Journal for Media Arts and Cultural Criticism. Finally, they held the role of Creative Director at Electronic Gaming Federation - Techstars 'NYC '16 from 2013.

Rockie Hunter attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Master's Degree in Print Media. Rockie then attended Chester College of New England from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design.
