Derek Vowels

Derek Vowels has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Derek started their career in 2003 as the Director of Relationship Management and Sales Support at ABN Amro Merchant Services. In this role, they managed the entire merchant portfolio and handled commissions, pricing, and account boarding.

Afterwards, Derek worked as the Revenue Director at Comdata, where they were responsible for pricing, commissions, residuals, and managing the Agent/ISO Channel. During their tenure, they recovered almost $3 million in billing discrepancies.

In 2010, Derek joined Payment Alliance International as the Director of Portfolio Management. Derek then worked as a Consultant at Bank of America, where they specialized in commission plans and conversions for small ISOs and processors.

Derek's experience continued at Planet Payment, where they served as the Vice-President of Sales & Acquirer Relations from 2012 to 2017.

From 2018 to 2019, Derek worked at TSYS as a BDRM, and then joined Aliaswire as the Director of Partner Solutions. Derek held this position until December 2022.

In 2017, Derek also founded their own company, Innovative Commerce, where they worked as an Owner/Agent and collaborated with various merchants in different industries.

Most recently, Derek joined Electronic Verification Systems in 2023 as an Enterprise Sales professional.

Derek Vowels attended Western Kentucky University from 1991 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. The field of study for their degree is not specified.
