Bill Batty

Bill Batty is a highly experienced Senior Hardware Engineer currently at EFI since November 2022 and has served as Principal at Belfry Engineering Services since May 2007, specializing in electrical and computer engineering consulting. Bill's expertise encompasses analog and high-speed digital design, FPGA and CPLD design with a focus on synthesis and verification using VHDL and Verilog, from schematic capture to prototype verification, along with PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly. Bill's previous roles include Senior Hardware Engineer positions at Wohler Technologies, Pano Logic, and Imagize LLC, where innovative projects involved advanced imaging systems and high-density FPGA architectures. Bill also contributed to hardware development at Tandberg Television, Pinnacle Systems, Link Electronics, and RGB Spectrum, as well as Atari Games Corporation, where responsibilities spanned from R&D to legacy system support. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from California State University-Chico in 1990.
