Zubin Laiwalla

Zubin Laiwalla is a seasoned Lead Software Engineer at EFI, contributing to the product development team since May 2007. Zubin has successfully reduced engineering costs by designing a proprietary protocol for serial/TCP communication, attracting new clientele and garnering departmental recognition. With a strong focus on identifying and resolving software design issues, Zubin has enhanced product efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Technical leadership has been provided to both local and international teams, ensuring timely product releases with low defect rates. Previous experience includes roles as an Embedded Design Engineer Intern at NXP Semiconductors and a Software Intern at Space Systems Loral, complemented by advanced degrees in Business Administration and Software Engineering from San Jose State University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California.
