Electroputere SA is a Romania-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture of electrical equipment. The Company divides its portfolio into three main groups of products: Power Transformers group, which includes power, transmission and distribution transformers; Electrical Rotating Machines group, which comprises induction, direct current (DC) electricity and synchronous motors and generators, and Electrical Apparatus group, which consists of circuit breakers, contactors, instrument transformers, prefabricated transformers, manual and motorized disconnectors. Additionally, the Company is involved in the provision of various services, such as repairing of rolling stock, machinery, equipment and technical facilities. The Company is active in Romania and abroad. On December 31, 2012, the Company closed its VFU Division, which was engaged in the manufacture of locomotives.
