Karin Schröter

Karin Schröter is an experienced engineering professional specializing in energy and process engineering, currently employed at Electrosuisse since December 2022, focusing on energy challenges for industry and infrastructure operators, with expertise in energy efficiency, optimization, decarbonization, and energy storage. Prior to this role, Karin worked as a process engineer at Empa, where projects included hydrogen production and Power-to-Gas integrations for mobility solutions. Earlier experiences include tutoring thermodynamics at the Institute for Thermodynamics and Refrigeration, internships in fuel cell development at ElringKlinger, and providing support in product development at IPEK. Karin holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, along with an Abitur from Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Reutlingen.
